At one beach in Brazil, a third of all shark attacks have been fatal. Dr Fábio Hazin has used his
understanding of sharks to modify their behaviour and to save lives. By moving sharks away from
popular beaches, he’s successfully reduced the number of shark attacks – without killing sharks.
Can this solution work in Australia where sharks attacks are still a problem?
Australian shark expert Dr Will Robbins travels to Brazil to observe Fábio’s science up close.
Then Will enlists shark advocate and attack survivor Paul de Gelder and shark scientist
Dr Jodie Haig to test the Brazilian method on Australian bull and tiger sharks. Will it work?
